Sekreto has recently teamed up with Latin Billboard winning DJ and producer Kinto Sol’s Payback Garcia to record a new exclusive song for Payback’s latest compilation project “Almas”. The song is titled “De Donde Eres” and challenges that same question to anyone who has ever migrated and has lived far from their family, home and land.

The project includes other highlights, such as Kinto Sol, Big Gemini, El Chivo, MR. Shadow and more.

Last sunday Sekreto was invited to preform a "No Tengo Tiempo" that Sekreto recorded for Cypress Hill's Eric Bobo solo album titled "Meeting of The Mind" released on Nacional Records.

The set was DJ Rhettmatic of The Beat Junkies, Zed of Enmicasa, Sekreto and Bobo and took place in Santa Monica, CA

Sekreto's "Mas Que Hablar" Gets Remixed By Javie Lopez

The Los Angeles based producer and DJ Javie Lopez has just leaked out his "Mas Que Hablar" remix. This isnt an official remix but we liked it enough to send out to peep and see if we can get any feedback.

Sekreto will in back in Califonia in Novemember and we are looking to work with different people, radio, tv, websites, artists. labels, etc. If anyone would like to link up with Sekreto en Nov feel free to reach out to me.

NOTE: The release of Sekreto's album was pushed to November 4th, but we gonna go ahead and go with October 21st to release the single. If Anyone needs a copy of the CD single let me know.

Sekreto Featured in New Issue of Silicon Valley De-Bug Magazine

Culture Without Borders, reads the liner notes of the current issue of the San Jose, Califorina based Magazine called Silicon Valley De-Bug. The issue goes a little into the history of the Spanish rap movement both locally in the San Francisco Bay Area as well the artists that today are pushing the movement from their homelands, for example Boca Floja (Mexico City, Mexico) and Sekreto (Gomez Palacio, Durango).

Silicon Valley De-Bug is a collective of writers, artists, organizers, and workers based in San Jose, California. We are a project of Pacific News Service, a national news service located in San Francisco. De-Bug started in the Spring of 2000 by reporting on the hidden experiences of working people who were employed as low-wage temporary workers. As we grew as a collective we began exploring all of the issues of our community - in the workplace, schools, streets, relationships, and everything else.

Sekreto's "En Tu Area" In Stores Octber 21st, 2008

Sekreto's debut album "En Tu Area" features B Real of Cypress Hill, Keen of The Subliminal Orphans, Aro Snachez, and Caballeros Del Plan G among others. Production includes tracks from DJ Toy Selectah of Control Machete, Milkman, Serko Fuentes, and Zed For Chemical Studio Productions. Sekreto is currently on the tour throughout Mexico promoting his first single "Mas Que Hablar" and will soon be returning to California to follow up the promotion that was started earlier this year.

His debut album "En Tu Area" is being released via Sones Del Mexside / Universal Music Group Mexico.

Sekreto defies all the stereotypes associated with Mexican Hip-Hop. He is neither a "G" nor a "Cholo," but rather his lyrics focus on important matters, like family, friends and life. "En Tu Area", his debut album, comes across as his personal gospel and is both stress relieving and motivational with powerful messages conveyed through skilled rhyme. Sekreto started out as a graffiti artist painting and tagging on the walls of Gomez Palacio in Durango, Mexico and eventually began to experiment with Rap along side his friends, two groups named BocaH and Ce Cen Cem (together known as Caballeros del Plan G). Sekreto with nothing more than the release of an independent single titled 3XL on the streets of Mexico back in 2000 and in 2001 Sekreto's participation in Caballeros Del Plan G's "Abriendo Puertas" album he quickly caught the attention of many in the music industry. By 2003 he had recorded a song with Spanish Hip-Hop pioneers Control Machete for the group's 3rd album, "Un, Dos; Bandera", putting Sekreto's face and voice in the international spotlight. By 2005 the song could be found on countless world compilations and was featured in the 2005 "Blockbuster Land Of The Dead".

Now with producers like Milkman, Serko Fuentes and Control Machete's Toy Hernandez at the helm, the tracks have turned out to be both unique and traditional in their sound, offering glimpses of real creativity. "En Tu Area" breaks new ground in Spanish hip-hop: The albums first single, "Mas Que Hablar", incorporates new and modern sounds while at the same time drops songs in a Control Machete fashion like "Tu Pon El Tema" and "Retumba". The album is an excellent mixture of hardcore showcases for his lyrical virtuosity and ruminative, reflective Hip-Hop ballads.

"Mas Que Hablar," Sekreto's first single is without a doubt a emotion-filled open letter to all those who live their lives passionately for their dreams. The music video was shot by acclaimed Mexican video director Jesus "Chiva" Rodriguez, whom has already worked with Sekreto's label mates Division Minuscula, Volovan, Horoscopos De Durango and the Spanish Hip Hop group Cartel De Santa among many others and should start to surface by the late May followed by the release of the album.
